About Wings 2
Wings 2 came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992, published by Malibu Games. It was part of that wave of early 90s flight shooters that tried to capture the feel of World War I dogfighting on a home console.
You pilot a biplane through a series of missions, primarily engaging enemy aircraft in the skies over Europe. Your main objective is to survive each sortie, shooting down German planes and sometimes bombing ground targets. The game uses a side-scrolling perspective for most of the action, shifting to a behind-the-plane view for bombing runs. It moves at a fast pace and can be quite difficult, demanding quick reflexes to dodge enemy fire and line up your own shots. Playing it feels like a constant, frantic scramble for altitude and a clear line of sight.
