Play Were Back! - A Dinosaurs Story Online

I remember picking up We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story for the Super Nintendo back in 1993. It was published by Hi Tech Expressions, a company that put out a number of licensed titles during that era. This was a time when the SNES was full of platformers based on movies and cartoons, and this game fit right into that category.

You control a few different dinosaurs, like Rex and Woog, navigating through side scrolling levels. The main goal is to rescue the other dinosaurs and stop the villain, Professor Screweyes. The gameplay involves a lot of jumping between platforms and using each dinosaur's unique ability; Rex can use a small roar to stun enemies, for example. You also collect Brain Grain cereal to power up and progress. The levels can feel a bit repetitive, and the controls are sometimes slippery, making some jumps more difficult than they should be. Playing it feels like a straightforward, if occasionally clumsy, trip back to a very specific kind of 90s licensed game.
