About We're Back! - A Dinosaur's Story
We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story came out for the Super Nintendo in 1993, published by Hi Tech Expressions. It was part of that wave of games based on animated films, a common sight on the platform back then. You play as Rex, the friendly Tyrannosaurus from the movie, navigating through a series of side scrolling levels.
Your main goal is to find the four other lost dinosaurs and guide them back to the time machine. The gameplay involves running, jumping across platforms, and using your tail to whip enemies and break certain blocks. You explore each stage screen by screen, collecting Brain Grain cereal pieces to restore your health and finding keys to unlock doors. The levels are fairly linear, but some require backtracking once you have the right dinosaur ability. The pacing is methodical rather than fast, and the challenge comes more from precise jumps and enemy placement than complex mechanics.
