Wayne’s World on SNES is exactly as ridiculous as you’d hope—in the best way possible. You start off at the Gasworks, jumping on trash cans and dodging security guards while Wayne cracks jokes in text bubbles. The controls are a little stiff (it is a 90s platformer), but the vibe is dead-on: the soundtrack’s got that crunchy guitar, Garth pops up to say something awkward, and there’s even a level where you’re dodging flying pretzels at a concert.
Some of the platforming bits can be frustrating—expect a few cheap hits from off-screen enemies—but the sheer commitment to the movie’s dumb charm makes up for it. You’ll recognize bits from the film, like the "No Stairway" guitar shop scene, but they also threw in weird stuff like a top-down driving section that feels totally random. Not gonna lie, it’s janky, but if you grew up quoting "Schwing!" unironically, that’s part of the appeal.
Definitely more fun with a friend watching so you can both groan at the terrible one-liners together.
