About Wayne's World (europe)
Wayne's World came out for the Super Nintendo in 1993, published by THQ. It was part of that wave of games based on movies and TV shows that were common on the system, trying to capture the comedy of the original film in a playable form.
You control Wayne Campbell through a series of side-scrolling levels. Your main goal is to rescue Garth, who gets kidnapped repeatedly by a floating purple hand. You punch and kick your way through enemies, from roadies to giant donuts, while collecting cassette tapes to earn extra lives. The game uses a password system to track your progress, and some levels change perspective, shifting to a pseudo-3D view when you ride in the Mirthmobile. The pacing is fast, but the difficulty can be unforgiving with precise platforming required. Playing it feels like a chaotic trip through the movie's most memorable scenes.
