Waterworld on SNES is one of those weird licensed games that somehow works. Yeah, it's based on the movie, but don't expect a direct retelling—you're mostly just jet-skiing around a flooded wasteland, shooting at raiders and salvaging wreckage. The controls take a minute to get used to (that jet-ski handles like a shopping cart on ice), but once you do, it's oddly satisfying to zip between islands and dive for loot.
The underwater sections are tense—you've got limited air, and those mutant fish don't mess around. I remember getting jump-scared by one the first time I played. Graphics are decent for the SNES, with some cool parallax water effects. Not a masterpiece, but way better than it had any right to be.
