WWF Super WrestleMania on SNES is where the classic 16-bit wrestling trilogy started—at least if you ask the fans who remember LJN's weirdly addictive take on the sport. It's rough around the edges compared to later entries, but there's something charming about the way Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage move like stiff action figures. The roster's small, but you've got all the big names from that era, and the grappling feels weighty in a way later arcade-y games lost. Matches are slow, methodical, and weirdly satisfying once you get the timing down.
Fun detail: The Japanese version has slightly tweaked colors and a different title screen. Not a huge difference, but collectors love that stuff. If you're into retro wrestling games, this is where the SNES era really kicked off.
