About Wwf Raw
WWF Raw came out for the Super Nintendo in 1994, developed by Sculptured Software. It was one of the wrestling games you could get on the system, arriving when the 16-bit consoles were still the main event in most living rooms. This was before the more complex 3D grapplers took over, so it sits in that specific period of cartridge based sports titles.
You control one of several WWF wrestlers, moving them around the ring to punch, kick, and perform signature slams on your opponent. The main goal is straightforward: pin your rival for a three count or make them submit. A few mechanics stand out, like building up a special meter by landing attacks; once full, it lets you unleash a more powerful move. You also frequently fight outside the ring, and the referee starts a count out if you stay there too long. The pacing is quick, with matches that can end suddenly if you are not careful, and the difficulty can feel unforgiving against the computer. It feels like a rough and tumble brawl where a single mistake can cost you the match.
