About Wwf Raw (europe)
WWF Raw for the Super Nintendo in 1994 was the third and final WWF game from Sculptured Software, following WWF Royal Rumble. It arrived late in the SNES lifecycle, a time when wrestling games were trying to capture the spectacle of the television product with larger rosters and more moves. This one aimed to be the definitive offering.
You control one of several WWF wrestlers, each with their own set of grapples, strikes, and signature slams. The main goal is to win matches, climbing the ranks through single bouts or a multi-event tournament. Key mechanics include building a special meter by performing offensive moves; once full, it allows you to execute a powerful finisher that can quickly end a match. The ring apron is also a distinct area where you can Irish whip an opponent, sending them crashing into the guardrail. The pacing is deliberate, with a focus on positioning and timing your grapples rather than frantic button mashing. It feels like a methodical test of your ability to read an opponent and capitalize on openings.
