Vegas Stakes on SNES is basically your own little Vegas vacation without the plane ticket. You start with a modest bankroll and immediately get hit with that casino atmosphere—bright lights, cheesy MIDI music, and four different games to blow your virtual cash on. I always went straight to blackjack first because it felt like the easiest way to double up early.

The poker tables are where things get interesting though. There’s this weird tension when you’re playing against the AI—they bluff just enough to make you second-guess folding a decent hand. Roulette’s fun if you just want to zone out and bet on red for a while, but slots? Pure luck. No strategy, just button mashing and hoping.

What’s cool is you can actually walk around the casino between games, bumping into NPCs who either brag about their wins or complain about losing streaks. Feels oddly immersive for a 16-bit game. Just don’t get too attached to your money—the house always wins eventually.
