Urban Strike on SNES is one of those games that makes you feel like a helicopter pilot with way too much responsibility. You start off just trying to navigate tight city streets—which, by the way, is way harder than it sounds—before suddenly dodging missiles and rescuing hostages. The controls take a second to get used to, but once you do, weaving between skyscrapers while unloading rockets on enemy bases feels ridiculously satisfying.
Missions start simple, then spiral into chaos real quick. One minute you're blowing up tanks, the next you're scrambling to refuel mid-air because you forgot to check your gas gauge. And yeah, the difficulty spikes can be brutal—some levels feel like the game just hates you—but pulling off a perfect run without crashing into a bridge or running out of ammo? That’s the good stuff.
If you’re into old-school action games that don’t hold your hand, this one’s a solid pick. Just don’t blame me when you get stuck on that one mission with the endless SAM sites.
