Ultra Mario World 2 - Demo 1 is one of those weird, unofficial Mario hacks that somehow feels both familiar and totally off. You’ve got the classic SNES sprites and controls, but then suddenly Yoshi’s spitting fireballs or there’s a level with upside-down gravity. The demo’s short—maybe 15 minutes if you take your time—but it’s packed with janky charm. Some jumps feel just slightly off, and the power-ups don’t always behave like you’d expect, but that’s half the fun. Feels like stumbling onto a lost beta version Nintendo forgot about.

Honestly, it’s more interesting than a lot of official Mario stuff. Just don’t go in expecting polish.
