About U.n. Squadron
U.N. Squadron came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1991, developed and published by Capcom. It was part of that early wave of SNES games that showed off what the console could do, standing apart from the company's earlier vertical shooters.
You control one of three mercenary pilots, each with their own aircraft and handling, flying from left to right across detailed battlefields. Your main goal is to clear each stage of enemy fighters, ground vehicles, and massive boss machines. Key mechanics include a pre-mission shop where you spend cash earned from destroying targets to buy new weapons and upgrades; you can also switch between these special weapons mid-level. The game is known for its demanding pace and sharp difficulty curve, requiring precise movement and quick weapon selection. It feels like a constant, tense duel against the screen, where every credit earned and spent matters for survival.
