I remember picking up Turbo Toons for the Super Nintendo back in 1994. It was one of those games from Flair Software that came out during a time when the SNES library was full of platformers trying new things. In the game, you control a cartoon character, Toony, and your main goal is to rescue your friends who have been captured. You move through levels screen by screen, which feels methodical, almost like solving a puzzle as you figure out the order to tackle each room. Your main actions are running and jumping, but you also collect keys to unlock doors and avoid or defeat enemies by jumping on them. The pacing is quite fast, and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly, especially in later stages where the platforming requires precise timing. Playing it feels like a constant, frantic scramble to stay one step ahead of the hazards.
