About Troddlers (europe)
Troddlers came out in 1993 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, developed by Atod AB. It was a puzzle game from that era when developers were experimenting with new mechanics beyond the standard platformer or shooter.
You control a small magician who can place blocks in midair. Your main goal is to guide a group of workmen, the Troddlers, safely to their exit on each screen. The signature mechanics involve strategic block placement to create paths, as the Troddlers can walk on walls and ceilings, not just the floor. You have a limited number of blocks, so each placement must be deliberate. The game starts simply but the puzzles become quite complex, demanding careful planning and quick reactions. It feels like a constant, satisfying test of your spatial reasoning and foresight.
