About Trinea
Trinea came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1993, developed by Jorudan. It was part of that wave of action RPGs that tried to capture the feel of exploring a large world from a top down perspective, fitting right in with the kinds of adventures the SNES did well.
You control a young hero tasked with gathering the scattered pieces of the Triforce. The game is built on screen by screen exploration; each new area loads as you cross the border, keeping the world feeling segmented and deliberate. Combat is straightforward, using your sword against the monsters that appear, and you'll spend a lot of time delving into dungeons to find the items you need. The pacing is methodical, and it can be quite difficult, demanding careful movement and resource management. It feels like a slow, thoughtful crawl through a dangerous and expansive map.
