About Toys (europe)
Toys came out for the Super Nintendo in 1993, developed by Absolute Entertainment. It was one of those many licensed games based on a movie that showed up on the system, trying to capture the film's quirky spirit in a playable form.
You control a soldier named Leslie, navigating through a sprawling toy factory. Your main goal is to rescue the factory's owner from his warmongering uncle. The game is a side scrolling platformer where you jump between conveyor belts, avoid giant toy machines, and fight off enemy soldiers. You use a slingshot as your primary weapon, and you can collect different types of ammo like marbles and bouncy balls. The levels are large and require a lot of exploration to find keys and progress. It is a difficult game with precise jumps and many enemies to manage. Playing it feels like a constant scramble through a chaotic, oversized playroom.
