About Tower Dream
Tower Dream came out for the Super Nintendo in 1996, published by Coconuts Japan. It was one of those late era SNES games that felt like developers were really pushing what they could do with the hardware, a solid action platformer that didn't get a huge amount of attention at the time.
You control a young adventurer exploring a massive, multi-level tower. Your goal is to climb from the dark, monster-filled basement all the way to the summit. The game is structured screen by screen; you fight off creatures with a simple sword, and you hunt for special keys to unlock the doors barring your progress upward. The pacing is deliberate, almost methodical, as you learn the patterns of each floor's enemies and navigate environmental hazards like crumbling blocks and sudden drops. It's not an easy game, and the limited continues mean your mistakes are costly. Playing it feels like a careful, persistent test of your patience and timing.
