Total Carnage is one of those SNES shooters that doesn’t hold back—you’re basically dropped into a warzone with a machine gun and told to survive. It’s got that classic Midway arcade feel, where enemies swarm from every direction and explosions fill the screen. You play as one of two soldiers (or team up with a friend) blasting through waves of troops to take down General Akhboob, who’s about as subtle as his name suggests.
The first few minutes are pure chaos—you’ll dodge tanks, mow down infantry, and scramble for power-ups before they disappear. The controls are simple, but the game doesn’t go easy on you. One wrong move and you’re toast. And yeah, it’s bloody—not quite Mortal Kombat levels, but close. If you like your shooters fast, loud, and relentless, this one’s a blast.
