About Tom & Jerry (europe)
I first played Tom & Jerry on the Super Nintendo in the early 90s. It was a 1992 release from Magic Bytes, a game that fit right in with the platformers of that era. It didn't have the big name recognition of some other titles, but it was a solid part of the SNES library.
You control Jerry the mouse, and your goal is to rescue your nephew Tuffy from Tom the cat. The game is a side scrolling platformer where you jump between platforms and avoid enemies. Your main way of fighting back is by picking up marbles from the ground and throwing them. You explore levels screen by screen, and some areas require you to find a key to unlock a door to progress. The game can be quite difficult, with precise jumps and enemy patterns to learn. It feels like a constant, fast paced chase from start to finish.
