Oh man, Tick: The Game on SNES is one of those weirdly charming beat-em-ups from the '90s. You play as the big blue idiot himself, punching your way through waves of goons in that classic Saturday morning cartoon style. The sprites are chunky, the colors are bright, and the action’s just dumb enough to feel right for the character.
It’s got that typical side-scrolling brawler setup—walk right, mash buttons, occasionally pick up a trash can to hurl at someone. But what makes it fun is how it leans into the Tick’s ridiculousness. You’ll fight guys in chicken suits, bounce off walls like a cartoon, and even team up with Arthur for some buddy beatdowns. The controls are a little stiff by today’s standards, but hey, it’s 1994—what do you expect?
If you grew up with the show or just love goofy retro beat-em-ups, this one’s a nostalgia trip worth taking. Just don’t expect deep combat—it’s all about the dumb fun.
