About Thunder Spirits
Thunder Spirits came out for the Super Nintendo in 1991, developed by Technosoft. It was part of that early wave of SNES games, a time when developers were figuring out what the new hardware could do. You saw a lot of shooters then, and this one fit right in.
You pilot a lone spacecraft through horizontally scrolling stages filled with enemy ships and environmental hazards. Your main goal is simply to survive each level, destroying everything in your path until you reach and defeat the stage boss. You have a primary shot that can be powered up by collecting items, and you also carry a limited supply of screen clearing bombs for emergencies. The game moves at a brisk pace, demanding quick reflexes as enemy patterns become dense and complex. Navigating the relentless enemy fire and learning attack sequences provides a steady, challenging tension from start to finish.
