Alright, so The Smurfs 2 on SNES is one of those licensed games that actually doesn’t suck—surprising, right? You’re basically hopping around as different Smurfs (Papa, Brainy, even Hefty), each with their own little quirks. Brainy’s jump is weirdly floaty, but Hefty can smash through stuff, which is way more satisfying than it should be.
The levels are bright and cartoony, just like the show, with Gargamel’s goons lurking around every corner. Some stages have you sneaking past traps, others are straight-up platforming chaos. The music’s got that early ‘90s charm too—peppy and repetitive in the best way.
It’s not super hard, but there’s enough variety to keep it interesting. If you grew up with the Smurfs or just dig old-school platformers, this one’s a solid pick. Just don’t expect Brainy to be useful for anything except falling into pits.
