Okay, so The Ren & Stimpy Show: Fire Dogs is exactly as ridiculous as you’d expect—in the best way. You’re basically these two idiots pretending to be firefighters, running through levels that feel like they were pulled straight from the cartoon’s fever dream logic. One minute you’re spraying down flames with a wobbly hose, the next you’re dodging falling anvils or getting launched into the sky by a rogue trampoline. Classic Ren & Stimpy chaos.
The controls are janky (because of course they are), but it kinda works? Like, Stimpy’s weird floaty jumps make no sense until you realize half the platforming is just luck anyway. And the sound effects—those gross squelches and Ren’s screechy voice clips—are weirdly satisfying. It’s not a deep game, but if you ever wanted to play through a Saturday morning cartoon where nothing makes sense and everything’s slightly sticky, this is it. Just don’t expect to take anything seriously.
Also, the final boss is a sentient fire hydrant. Obviously.
