Okay, so The Ren & Stimpy Show: Buckeroos! is exactly as weird as you'd expect—which is great if you love the show. You start off in this bizarre Wild West setting where Ren’s yelling at Stimpy (as usual), and suddenly you're jumping on cacti, dodging giant rolling tumbleweeds, and fighting off enemies like a deranged cowboy chicken. The controls take a second to get used to—Ren’s a little slippery when he runs—but once you adjust, it’s pure chaotic fun.
The art style nails the gross, exaggerated look of the cartoon, right down to the gross-out close-ups when you pick up power-ups. Some of the levels drag a bit (that minecart section is rough), but the sheer absurdity keeps it entertaining. If you’re into weird SNES platformers or just miss the show’s brand of nonsense, this one’s worth a play. Just don’t expect it to hold your hand.
