Ever tried learning piano from a Super Nintendo? The Miracle Piano Teaching System is this weirdly charming relic from the '90s that actually works—if you can track down the giant MIDI keyboard it came with. You start off plinking out "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" like a kid in recital, but the game sneaks in music theory between minigames and flashy feedback.
The graphics are pure SNES cheese (think scrolling sheet music with pixelated treble clefs), but the teaching method’s weirdly solid. I remember getting stuck on chord progressions until the game drilled them into me with this obnoxiously cheerful MIDI version of "Ode to Joy." By the time you’re playing Bach fugues, you realize you’ve been tricked into learning proper finger technique.
It’s half educational tool, half nostalgia trip—just don’t expect your living room to suddenly turn into Carnegie Hall.
