I remember picking up The Jetsons: Invasion of the Planet Pirates for the Super Nintendo back in 1994. It was published by Taito, one of those many licensed games that tried to capture a cartoon's vibe on the 16-bit hardware. You don't hear much about it now, but it was a solid enough platformer for its time, fitting right in with the era's side-scrolling adventures.

You control George Jetson, running and jumping through the Spacely Space Sprockets building to rescue his family from the clutches of the Planet Pirates. The main goal is straightforward: navigate each multi-level stage, find the exit, and avoid a host of robotic enemies and environmental hazards. A couple of mechanics stand out; you collect spare parts to power up a jetpack for limited flight, and you can also find a laser gun to temporarily fend off foes. The pacing is brisk, with some tricky jumps and enemy placements that ramp up the difficulty as you progress.
