Man, The Incredible Crash Dummies on SNES is such a weird little time capsule. You play as these goofy, limb-flailing test dummies who basically just throw themselves into traffic and machinery for science. The first level drops you right into a junkyard full of conveyor belts and crushers—half the fun is watching your dummy ragdoll into walls at ridiculous speeds.
It’s part platformer, part puzzle game where you’re constantly breaking yourself apart (on purpose) to solve stuff. Like, you’ll detach your own head to roll it into switches, or launch your torso through a gauntlet of spinning gears. The controls take some getting used to—your dummy moves like he’s made of wet noodles—but once it clicks, there’s something weirdly satisfying about the chaos.
Definitely one of those "so bad it’s good" 90s licensed games, but the janky physics and dark humor (you literally get scored on how brutally you can wreck yourself) make it way more memorable than it has any right to be. If you’re into bizarre retro oddballs, this one’s a trip.
