About The Hurricanes
The Hurricanes came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1994, developed by Arc Developments. It was part of that wave of action games on the SNES that tried to blend different genres, arriving when developers were really pushing what the hardware could do visually.
You control a team of pilots, switching between them to navigate through side scrolling levels and top down vehicle sections. Your main goal is to complete missions, which often involve destroying enemy bases and rescuing hostages. The game mixes run and gun shooting with vehicle combat; you might be on foot one moment, then jump into a helicopter or a tank the next. It moves at a fast pace and can be quite difficult, demanding quick reflexes to manage enemy fire from all directions. Playing it feels like juggling multiple styles of combat while constantly staying on the move.
