Okay, so The Beginning of Mithareio Demo is basically a love letter to old-school SNES RPGs—think early Final Fantasy vibes but with its own twist. You start off picking between a couple of classes (I went with the rogue because, well, stealing stuff is fun), and right away you’re thrown into this moody little town with NPCs dropping hints about some ancient mystery. The pixel art’s gorgeous—like, "pause-to-stare-at-the-sunset" gorgeous.
Combat’s turn-based but snappy, and the monsters actually put up a fight instead of just being XP piñatas. Found myself reloading a save after underestimating some wolves in the first forest. Classic. The demo’s short, but there’s enough here—weird side quests, cryptic dialogue choices—to make me wish the full game existed. If you miss that ’90s RPG grind with a side of intrigue, this’ll hit the spot.
