Man, this SNES Batman game nails the vibe of the animated series—the colors pop, the music’s got that Danny Elfman energy, and the sprites look ripped straight from the show. You start off swinging through Gotham’s neon-lit rooftops, dodging Joker’s goons, and it just feels right. Robin’s there too, which is cool, but let’s be honest: you’re probably playing as Batman because, well, he’s Batman.
Some of the levels get brutal—Two-Face’s casino stage had me stuck for ages—but the gadgets help. The batarang actually works like it should, not like those janky retro games where your attacks just phase through enemies. And yeah, you’ll fight Poison Ivy in a greenhouse full of mutant plants, because of course you will. Classic 90s comic nonsense, and I’m here for it.
If you grew up with the cartoon or just love SNES action games with a little more polish, this one’s a no-brainer. Just maybe keep a walkthrough handy for that damn train level.
