Okay, so The Addams Family - Pugsley's Scavenger Hunt is one of those weirdly charming SNES platformers that feels like it shouldn’t work but totally does. You play as Pugsley, bouncing around this gothic playground full of trapdoors, floating eyeballs, and the occasional exploding jack-in-the-box (because of course). The controls are a little stiff by today’s standards, but once you get used to the jumps, there’s something satisfying about the way everything moves—like the whole world’s made of creaky floorboards.

The levels are packed with secrets—hidden switches, fake walls, the usual—but what really sells it is the atmosphere. The music’s all carnival-meets-haunted-house, and the backgrounds have these little Addams Family touches, like Thing popping up to hand you items or Morticia’s portrait watching from the walls. It’s not the hardest game out there, but some of the later puzzles will make you stop and think (or maybe throw your controller when you miss a jump for the tenth time).

If you’re into 90s platformers with a side of spooky camp, this one’s a solid time capsule. Just don’t expect it to hold your hand—Pugsley’s definitely the type to laugh when you fall into a pit.
