Terranigma is one of those SNES RPGs that somehow flew under the radar for a lot of people, which is a shame because it's got this weird, dreamy vibe that sticks with you. You play as Ark, this blue-haired kid who accidentally wakes up in a weird underground world where everything's frozen—literally, people are just standing there like statues. Then you start bringing the world back to life, one continent at a time, and things get wild from there.

The combat feels like a mix between Zelda and Secret of Mana—fluid, but with just enough weight to make hits feel satisfying. You’ll poke around villages, solve puzzles, and fight monsters that get surprisingly tough later on. The music? Haunting in the best way. That overworld theme still pops into my head randomly.

It’s got that classic 90s JRPG charm, but with a story that goes way deeper than you’d expect. By the time you hit the second half, you’ll be questioning whether resurrecting the world was even a good idea.
