Terminator 2 on SNES is one of those arcade-style light-gun shooters where you’re basically along for the ride—point, shoot, and try not to get wrecked by Skynet’s army of robots. It’s got that classic '90s arcade feel, complete with digitized voices yelling "Get down!" and explosions that somehow look both blocky and awesome.
You play as either Sarah or John Connor (or both in 2-player mode), blasting through levels ripped straight from the movie—the biker bar, the steel mill, even that insane truck chase. The Terminator himself shows up to help, which is cool until you realize his AI is about as sharp as a butter knife. Still, mowing down T-1000s with the shotgun never gets old.
Fair warning: the hit detection can be janky, and some levels drag on way too long. But if you’re into cheesy action or just want to relive the movie in pixel form, it’s a decent time. Just don’t expect deep strategy—this is pure trigger-mashing chaos.
