Teitoku No Ketsudan (Japan) is one of those SNES games that looks simple at first glance—until you realize you're basically running an entire WWII naval campaign from your living room. KOEI went all-in with the details here: ship stats, fuel management, even weather affecting your battles. It's slow-paced, sure, but there's something weirdly satisfying about plotting out your fleet movements turn by turn.
First time I played, I got wrecked because I didn't realize my destroyers couldn't just charge battleships head-on. Learned that lesson fast. The interface takes some getting used to (it's very 90s strategy game), but once it clicks, you'll be obsessing over optimal convoy routes and air squadron placements.
Still holds up as one of the deeper war sims on the system—just don't expect flashy animations or quick matches.
