Taekwon-Do on SNES is one of those early fighting games that feels a little rough around the edges, but there's something oddly charming about it. You pick from a small roster of martial artists—each with their own exaggerated kicks and punches—and duke it out in basic, no-frills arenas. The controls take a minute to get used to, especially if you're coming from something smoother like Street Fighter, but once you figure out the timing, pulling off a spinning heel kick is weirdly satisfying.
It's definitely not the flashiest fighter out there, and the AI can be brutal even on lower difficulties. Still, there's a nostalgic appeal to its simplicity. The Korean and Japanese voiceovers add a bit of authenticity, even if the translations are a little wonky. If you're into retro fighting games, it's a neat little time capsule from the SNES era.
