Man, TKO Super Championship Boxing is one of those SNES sports games that somehow nails the feel of boxing without getting too complicated. You pick your fighter—some are quick but weak, others hit like a truck but move like one too—and then it's straight into the ring. The controls are simple: jab, hook, block, dodge. But timing is everything. Get greedy with punches and you'll eat a counter that sends your guy stumbling.
The sprites are chunky in that early '90s way, but the animations sell the impact when you land a solid uppercut. And the crowd? They actually react when you turn the fight around, which is a nice touch. It's not the deepest boxing sim out there, but for a quick slugfest with a buddy, it holds up better than you'd expect.
Just don't pick the featherweight against a heavyweight unless you enjoy seeing your guy do a backflip from a single punch.
