About T2 - The Arcade Game (europe)
I remember picking up T2: The Arcade Game for the Super Nintendo in 1993. It was developed by Probe Software, a company known for various arcade ports during that era. This was a time when bringing the arcade experience home was a big deal, and this title was part of that wave on the SNES.
You control John Connor, moving automatically through levels as you aim a targeting reticle at endless T-800 endoskeletons and other threats. The main objective is simply to survive each stage, shooting everything that moves while protecting your limited health. Signature mechanics include collecting ammo pickups to keep your gun firing and shooting certain objects in the environment for bonus points. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty can feel punishing as enemy fire comes from all directions. It feels like a frantic test of your reflexes from start to finish.
