About Syvalion (japan)
Syvalion came out for the Super Nintendo in 1992, a conversion of Taito's arcade game. It was a time when developers were pushing the hardware with unique ideas, and this one certainly stood out from the typical space shooters of the era.
You pilot a golden dragon, a creature made of connected segments that trails behind your head. Your main goal is to fly through each stage, destroying everything in your path. The dragon's body is your primary weapon; it whips around as you move, and enemies take damage just by touching it. You also have a limited-use screen-clearing bomb for emergencies. The challenge comes from navigating tight corridors and managing your long, vulnerable tail, which can be difficult to keep safe. It feels like controlling a living, breathing serpent in a frantic dance of fire and motion.
