Syvalion is one of those weird, flashy arcade ports that makes you go, "Wait, what is this?" at first glance. You control this golden dragon—not just a sprite, but this long, snake-like thing where every segment moves independently. It looks rad when you’re weaving through bullet hell, but good luck not smacking into walls when you’re still figuring out the controls.
The SNES version keeps the arcade’s trippy neon aesthetic, though it’s obviously toned down a bit. Stages throw these surreal, geometric mazes at you while synth beats blast in the background. It’s less about brute force and more about threading the needle—kinda like if someone mixed Tempest with a laser light show. Not the deepest shooter, but definitely memorable.
Fair warning: the dragon handles like a drunk centipede until you get used to it.
