About Syvalion (europe) (beta)
Syvalion is a 1992 Super Nintendo release from Taito, a developer known for arcade conversions. It arrived during a period when the SNES library was expanding with more visually complex and mechanically distinct arcade ports, offering an alternative to the platform's more common platformers and RPGs.
You pilot a golden, serpentine dragon whose body is composed of multiple linked segments. Your primary objective is to navigate through side scrolling and vertically scrolling stages, destroying waves of enemy craft and structures. A signature mechanic is controlling the dragon's entire body; the head leads, and the body segments follow its path, making precise maneuvering essential to avoid collisions. You can also collect power ups to enhance your dragon's firepower, adding different shot types. The game maintains a fast pace with a steep difficulty curve typical of arcade shooters.
