Super X-Terminator 2 Sasuke is one of those weird, Japan-only SNES action games that never made it overseas—which is a shame because it’s actually pretty fun once you get past the janky controls. You play as this cyborg ninja slicing through waves of robots and mutants, and the pixel art has that gritty early '90s charm. The first level throws you right into a factory full of conveyor belts and flamethrower traps, so expect to die a few times while figuring out the timing.
It’s not as polished as, say, Shinobi, but there’s something satisfying about the way your sword cuts through enemies. Just don’t expect a deep story—most of the dialogue is in Japanese, and the plot is basically "kill everything." Still, if you’re into obscure action games, this one’s worth a look.
