About Super Turrican 1
Super Turrican arrived on the Super Nintendo in 1993, developed by Factor 5. It was part of that wave of action games that really pushed the hardware, with big sprites and a lot happening on screen at once. You got a sense of the console's capabilities just from the way the game moved and sounded.
You control a lone soldier fighting through alien-infested environments. Your main goal is to survive the onslaught, clear each stage, and defeat the bosses waiting at the end. Your character has a few key tools: a standard blaster, a screen-clearing smart bomb, and a versatile grappling beam that lets you swing across pits. The game is fast and often difficult, throwing swarms of enemies and tricky platforming sections at you. It feels like a constant, frantic scramble to react and adapt.
