Super Troll Islands is one of those weird little SNES platformers that somehow sticks with you. You pick from four trolls—each with their own quirks—and just start stomping around, clearing this weird purple mist by walking over it. Sounds simple, right? But then you realize some areas need a bit more finesse, like jumping on enemies or finding hidden paths.
The controls are a little floaty at first, but once you get used to it, bouncing between platforms feels oddly satisfying. And the music? Surprisingly catchy for a game about trolls cleaning up fog. It’s not the deepest game out there, but there’s something charming about its straightforward, slightly janky vibe. If you’re into obscure 16-bit platformers, this one’s worth a look.
