Super Tetris 3 is one of those weird, late-era SNES puzzlers that never made it outside Japan—which is a shame, because it’s got way more personality than your average Tetris clone. Yeah, you’ve got the standard falling blocks mode, but then there’s this bizarre Magicaliss mode where the pieces float around like they’ve had too much coffee, and Sparkliss turns everything into a disco with flashing colors. Famliss is the real oddball, though—it’s like Tetris for four people at once, and it gets chaotic fast.
The controls are tight, the music’s got that classic SNES charm, and the whole thing just feels… slightly unhinged in the best way. If you’ve burned through regular Tetris and want something with a little more Japanese weirdness, this one’s worth digging up. Just don’t blame me when you lose hours to Sparkliss mode.
