About Super Slam Dunk
Super Slam Dunk came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1993, published by Virgin Interactive. It was one of many sports titles on the platform during that era, a time when developers were still figuring out how to translate the flow of a real game into a fun digital experience.
You control a team of five players, switching between them to pass, steal, and shoot. The main objective is to outscore the opposing team by getting the ball through the hoop. A couple of its signature mechanics include the ability to perform special dunks by charging up a jump meter and a defensive system where you can attempt to block shots with careful timing. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty can be unforgiving if you miss your defensive assignments. Playing it feels like a constant, frantic scramble for control of the ball.
