Super SWIV (or Firepower 2000, depending on where you played it) is one of those SNES shooters that doesn’t mess around. You pick either a helicopter or a jeep—totally different playstyles—and then it just throws you straight into chaos. The helicopter’s all about dodging bullets while raining fire from above, but the jeep? Way more intense, weaving through tight corners and blasting everything in sight.
First time I played, I went with the chopper because, well, flying seemed safer. Big mistake. The ground enemies come at you fast, and suddenly you’re scrambling to keep up. The jeep’s slower but packs a meaner punch, and once you get the hang of its strafing, it feels unstoppable. The music’s got that classic SNES energy too—synth beats that somehow make the explosions hit harder.
If you like your shooters with a side of panic and a killer soundtrack, this one’s got your back.
