About Super Puyo Puyo Tsuu (japan) [en By J2e V1.1] (~super Puyo Puyo 2)

Super Puyo Puyo Tsuu came out for the Super Nintendo in 1995, developed by Compile. It was the follow-up to the original Puyo Puyo, arriving when the SNES was full of competitive puzzle games. This version, with its English translation patch, let more players finally understand the story and menus that were previously locked behind Japanese text.

You control a cursor to drop pairs of colored blobs called Puyo. Your main goal is to clear your own screen by linking four or more same-colored Puyos while simultaneously sending garbage blocks to your opponent's side. The signature mechanics are the chain reaction, where you set up falling Puyos to trigger multiple clears in sequence, and the offset system, which lets you counter and send back incoming garbage if you complete a chain quickly. The game's pacing is fast, and the difficulty ramps up sharply against clever computer opponents or a skilled human rival. It feels intensely satisfying when you set off a big chain and watch your opponent's screen fill up with mess.
