Super Putty on SNES is one of those weird, charming platformers that sticks with you—mostly because you play as a stretchy blue blob that can flatten, bounce, and even turn into a wrecking ball. The first level throws you right into it: you’re hopping between floating islands, squishing enemies by dropping on them, and stretching to reach ledges just out of reach. The controls take a second to get used to—your putty guy has this floaty, elastic feel—but once it clicks, you start pulling off ridiculous stunts like bouncing off walls or stretching halfway across the screen.
The levels get surprisingly tricky, too. Some puzzles make you think about how to use your squishy body—like flattening under a low gap or stretching into a spring to launch yourself. And the art style? Bright, cartoony, and full of little details, like how your putty buddy wobbles when he stops moving. It’s not the most famous SNES game, but it’s got this weirdly satisfying vibe that makes it worth digging up if you like offbeat platformers. Just don’t blame me when you spend 20 minutes trying to nail that one stupid jump in the ice world.
