Super Putty is one of those weirdly charming SNES platformers that never got enough love. You play as this stretchy blue blob who can stick to walls, bounce around, and even morph into different shapes to solve puzzles. The controls take a second to get used to—sometimes you'll overshoot a jump or get stuck in a weird angle—but once it clicks, flinging yourself through levels feels oddly satisfying.
The art style is bright and cartoony, with these surreal levels full of floating platforms and enemies that look like rejected Muppets. There’s a weird sense of humor to it, like when you accidentally squash yourself into a pancake and just… stay like that until you wiggle free. Definitely a hidden gem if you’re into quirky retro stuff.
Also, pro tip: the morph ability is way more useful than it seems at first. I wasted way too many lives before realizing you could turn into a ball to roll through tight spaces.
